Red Bull Theater Wins Randall Grant

The $100,000 Tony Randall Grant has been awarded to the Red Bull Theater for its production of Thomas Middleton’s “Women Beware Women,” an early-17th-century play about sexual politics and women’s rights, scheduled to open in the fall. The annual grant goes to a nonprofit Equity theater company in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut for the production of a classic play, an adaptation of a classic or a work inspired by the classics. A $10,000 grant will be made to the Classic Theater of Harlem for Molière’s “Tartuffe,” opening in the fall.
